Novice bloggers like me. Could you use some instruction on how to blog? I know I could. I can write articles all day long, but am having trouble publicizing my blog to get readership. I’m hoping the class below will help me out.
I'm evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they're letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
- The best blogging techniques.
- How to get traffic to your blog.
- How to turn your blog into money.
I'll let you know what I think once I've had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it's still free.

Do we have an epidemic in North Carolina of female murders?
Earlier this year, a 23-year old pregnant marine, Maria Lauterback, was murdered by her former boyfrieind Cesar Laurean in Fayetteville, NC. Specialist Megan Lynn Touma, 23, was found dead 8 months pregnant near Camp Lejeune, NC. Her death is considered suspicious.
On July 13, 24 year old Army Nurse Holly Wimunc’s body was discovered. She was 24 years old and worked at Fayetteville’s Army Hospital. Her 23 year old estranged husband John Wimunc and an accomplice where charged with murder and arson of Holly’s apartment.
On July 14, the body of mother of two, Nancy Cooper, was found dead in Cary, NC. She went out for a walk on Saturday morning and never returned. A search warrant for Cooper’s home as well as permission to take forensic evidence from her husband, Brad Cooper, was obtained today.
If you live in North Carolina and are a female, be careful and keep your doors locked.

Anyone remember their American History lesson about tarriffs? Here’s Wikipedia’s definition of an export tarrif:
A tariff is a tax placed on a specific good or set of goods exported from or imported to a country, creating an economic barrier to trade.
Usually the tactic is used when a country’s domestic output of the good is falling and imports from foreign competitors are rising, particularly if there exist strategic reasons for retaining a domestic production capability.
Congress should use this strategy and impose a stiff tax on any American Oil Companies exports of oil to other countries so they would be more inclined to sell all of their oil to domestic customers.
Here’s a recent article about this:
http://www.forbes.com/reuters/feeds/reuters/2008/07/03/2008-07-03T184028Z_01_N02435397_RTRIDST_0_USA-OIL-EXPORTS-ANALYSIS.html
According to the article,
A record 1.6 million barrels a day in U.S. refined petroleum products were exported during the first four months of this year, up 33 percent from 1.2 million barrels a day over the same period in 2007. Shipments this February topped 1.8 million barrels a day for the first time during any month, according to final numbers from the Energy Department.
So I say sock it to the oil companies if they dare to send American oil overseas. How about Congress?

It’s Monday and I’m bored today. I was bored all weekend. Cleaned the house, did the laundry, went grocery shopping, cooked for the family, went to Church, lay around on the couch, watching TV, etc.
Came to work, looking for something interesting to do? Not much going on here either. But that’s a good thing, isn’t it?
It means there’s no crisis in my life right now. No big problem. I still have a job, I have a roof over my head and food to eat. Yes, even gas in my car! With gas going for $4 a gallon and food at the supermarket, sky high what do I have to complain about?
I have a family to talk to – no one is sick nor going through a crisis.
So, yes. I’m bored. That is a good thing, I can assure you.
